First thing I want to mention this week is HOME DELIVERIES.  With Covid numbers being so high, I wanted to let everyone know that you are more than welcome to switch to home deliveries if you are not already doing that.  In the Spring, we grew so fast that we asked people to pick up off the truck if possible, but we have since added vehicles and drivers to our fleet so we are more than ready to bring your food straight to your door...in a mask.  Email erin@yellowbirdfs.com to have her get you set up.

Second, this is the time of year when our newest members wonder what will happen for the WINTER??  GOOD NEWS, we run ALL YEAR!  We do NOT do deliveries on the week of Thanksgiving or the week of Christmas, but other than that, you can count on us to bring your food to you each and every week!  MANY of our longtime customers actually like the WINTER boxes best!

We have preached a lot this year about food security and personal health.  You all have done an awesome job at getting ready for WHATEVER might come next.  We have been saying the same thing since the start of all this 2020 madness...the pandemic did not create a problem in our food system, it EXPOSED the problem that had been building for decades.

Let me continue to encourage you to keep doing what you are doing.
-Buy a little more than you normally would and figure out a way to preserve it.
-Continue to be PLANT forward in your dishes
-Continue to demand grass fed meat, dairy, and eggs
-Continue to move your body and get into nature as often as possible
-Keep growing things on your own.  REAL SECURITY comes when you are able to have food that you grew YOURSELF.  If YB was everyone's SECOND option, because there first option was their own garden, then we will have created a sustainable foodshed.

NEWS AND NOTES

  • Thanksgiving is what is on all our minds this week.  IN ORDER TO GET ALL YOUR THANKSGIVING ORDERS, please have your carts loaded up by Saturday November 15th at midnight.

One last thing that we are REALLY excited about...to make your online shopping experience a little easier to navigate (we are aware that it's confusing at times), we have added a "FAVORITES" section to your account.

Every single picture of every single product has a little star in the upper left corner.  If you want to add it to your "FAVORITES" list, just click that star.

After that, anytime you click into your favorites tab, you will see everything you have starred...AND, you can add any of those items DIRECTLY to your cart!  (**as you can see from my account, my world mostly revolves around spreads and dips)
