Week #18

It’s been a while since we gave you a “State Of The Union” here at YB.

  1.  We just saw our first harvest of asparagus!  Only around 10 pounds but that is a good sign for weeks to come…

  2. We have been developing a new website/sales platform that will allow for a much easier shopping experience.

  3. We are planning some more virtual and IN-PERSON events!

  4. We have recently partnered with multiple chefs that are offering more “prepared-meals” that we will be rolling out each week

  5. We are very close to having our own kitchen space that will allow us to develop more meal kits, prepared meals, processed ingredients, and private label things like salads/soups/sandwiches.

For the month of May we are doing one of our most effective marketing campaigns.

We have always been a “word-of-mouth” type company.  We would rather spend the money on you, then spend it to do some ad on some social media platform that yields limited results.

MAKE US PAY YOU!!

*A foodshed is the geographic region that produces the food for a particular population. The term is used to describe a region of food flows, from the area where it is produced, to the place where it is consumed, including: the land it grows on, the route it travels, the markets it passes through, and the tables it ends up on. "Foodshed" is described as a "socio-geographic space: human activity embedded in the natural integument of a particular place."[1] A foodshed is analogous to a watershed in that foodsheds outline the flow of food feeding a particular population, whereas watersheds outline the flow of water draining to a particular location. Through drawing from the conceptual ideas of the watershed, foodsheds are perceived as hybrid social and natural constructs.
